Municipal Port Office Organizes Survey in Hongqiao Airport Post Supervision Site

On the afternoon of October 17, Jin Guojun, Deputy Chief of the Municipal Port Office, together with responsible persons, surveyed in the Shanghai Express Main Service International Hub supervision site, located at Hongqiao Airport, and inspected the import & export operation and clearance process of the express industry and listened to the situation of clearance demands. They were from the Municipal Port Office, the Municipal Commission of Construction and Transportation, Shanghai Customs, Shanghai Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the Municipal Post Office and EMS Cooperation, FedEx, SF-Express, YTO Express, and so on.

 

Jin Guojun, together with the inspection group, surveyed and learned on the supervision site the checking demands of the customs and inspection and quarantine department toward the imported and exported express items. Meanwhile, they also asked about the development status quo of Airline Express Items and Airline General Cargo Business. In the following symposium, Jin listened to the business development, clearance situation and demands for international express item supervision of each enterprise at present.

 

At last, Jin Guojun asked that the Port should, through seeing far from bits, improve management and speed, and serve for the construction of international shipping center so as to improve the proportion of international transit. He said that as express was a new industry of fast development, informatization level should be improved for follow-up development. And the demands of State Postal Bureau and the Shanghai Municipal Government about boosting the cooperation agreement on the economic construction and development of Shanghai express headquarters should be implemented. Analysis toward the situation of the industry can be conducted through joint efforts to survey international rules.
