On September 5, 2013, Wang Yunsheng, Deputy Director of the Committee of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs of the Yunnan Provincial People’s Congress, and the delegation studied in the Shanghai Port Office about the legislation of the Regulation on Shanghai Port Service. Zhang Chaomei, Director of the Shanghai Port Office, attended the symposium. At the symposium, introduction was made, by relevant personnel of the Department of Policies and Regulations of the Shanghai Port Office, the Airport Office, and departments of the Committee of Overseas Chinese Affairs and Ethnic and Religious Affairs, the Commission of Legislative Affairs, and the Commission of Finance under the Municipal People’s Congress, about the background, orientation and process of the legislation of the Regulation on Shanghai Port Service. The parties also exchanges views on how to exert the function of the People’s Congress in the work of the Port.
