On the afternoon of September 30, 2013, the “10 Years of Shanghai-Hong Kong Friendship: 10th Anniversary of Opening-up of Shanghai Railway Port”, co-held by Shanghai Railway Station, Railway Station Customs, Railway Bureau of Inspection and Quarantine, and Railway Checkpoint, was held at the South Square of Shanghai Railway Station. The anniversary activity highlighted interaction with passengers with the keynote of publicizing port customs clearance knowledge, reinforcing exit-entry service, and co-building civilized and harmonious port, which had acquired relatively good results.

Shanghai Railway Port, opened temporarily from October 1, 2003 and officially opened up on April 27 this year after acceptance of the state, is also one of the first Shanghai municipal 5 star civilized ports. Dating back to the last decade, relevant units of the railway port have built deep friendship through joint service, and the distance between Huangpu River and Hong Kong has been shortened, which not only warmed the heart of Shanghai and Hong Kong passengers, but also left many touching stories. Relevant units said that, Shanghai Railway Port will consistently be the “Door on the land” connecting Huangpu River and Hong Kong, so as to make more Shanghai and Hong Kong passengers enjoy the comfort and warmth during the railway travel.
