In recent check on passenger liner’s exit and entry affairs, the Pujiang Border Inspection Station found many passengers who could not pass because of ID problems. These passengers saw their schedule interrupted and mood spoiled. Some of them had financial losses because of the problems.
The inspection authority found three kinds faults regarding exit and entry IDs: passengers from Hong Kong and Macau who only take their SAR passports but forget to bring their exit-entry permit; passengers from Taiwan who neglect the available exit-entry times on their exit-entry permit and end up having to make temporary registration; foreigners who exit with single visa so they cannot reenter with the liner.
The Pujiang Border Inspection Station would like to give the following suggestions regarding the above problems: China’s mainland passengers should ensure the holding of valid visa for their destination country (except those exempted of visa requirements); passengers from Hong Kong and Macau should use their exit-entry permit or other approved IDs to enter; Taiwan passengers should prepare for enough times of entry on their permit; foreign passengers should hold valid visa of China (except those from visa-free countries).
