Shanghai Qingpu Export Processing Zone was founded in March 2003 under the approval of the State Council. It is a special area under the supervision and control of Shanghai Customs. With a total planning area of 3 square kilometers, Shanghai Qingpu Export Processing Zone is located in the Western part of Shanghai and is within the planning area of the municipal-level Shanghai Qingpu Industrial Park. The Export Processing Zone has convenient traffic conditions. It borders Tongsan National Highway to the West, Youdun Port to the East, Beiqing Road to the South and Xiuheng Road to the North.

Shanghai Qingpu Export Processing Zone implements a closed-ended management pattern. It has completed ancillary facilities, including customs office, inspection office, taxation bureau, industrial and commercial administration, banks, foreign trade, transportation and customs declaration. 1. Traffic conditions:
Land transportation: The Export Processing Zone is near National Highway 318, Suhong Expressway, Shanghai-Qingpu Highway, Shanghai-Hangzhou Highway, Shanghai-Nanjing Highway, Shanghai-Nanjing Raiway and National Highway 320 in the East and West, and is near Waiqingsong Expressway and Tongsan National Highway to the South and North;

Air transportation: 17 kilometers to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport;
Sea transportation: 45 kilometers to Shanghai Port and 50 kilometers to the container terminal of Shanghai Port, where freight containers could be exported directly to foreign countries;
